Our client is looking for a VP of Finance to join their team. This is a foundational leadership role where you will build and scale the finance function from the ground up, partnering closely with founders to deliver clear, real-time financial insights that inform key business decisions -without adding unnecessary complexity.

What will you be doing?

• Design and implement scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
• Automate reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation to enable real-time insights
• Own and optimize the finance tech stack, including FP&A tools and integrations
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
• Develop robust financial models to guide growth and investor narratives
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
• Prepare for funding rounds, including investor materials and data rooms
• Manage cash flow, runway planning, and capital allocation
• Support M&A activities including due diligence and integration planning
• Act as a key member of the executive leadership team
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and product to align financial strategy with growth goals

Must Haves:

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience across enterprise and high-growth startup environments
• Strong hands-on experience in FP&A, financial modeling, and board-level presentations
• Proven track record of building and scaling finance functions
• Experience preparing companies for funding or pre-IPO readiness (strong asset)
• Background in fintech, logistics, or tech-enabled industries (preferred)
