Our leading automotive manufacturing client is in search of a finance professional who will help achieve the primary objectives of the Finance Department by supporting and providing guidance. The successful hire will have the best understanding of the company’s financial performance and improving results.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinate month-end activities and reconcile balance sheet/accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements, assists in the preparation of financial budget and projections
• Assists in liaising with Department Managers and the General Manager with financial and operational information
• Display equity, leadership, and training (directly or through courses) to build an effective team
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial information
• Responsible for Fixed Asset reporting and the daily monitoring of cash, accounts receivables and payables
• Assist with the coordination of divisional Q.O.S.
• Held responsible for the financial administration of suppliers
• Assist with the development of annual business planning
• Assist with the coordination of year-end activities
• Prepare government statistical reports and support and encourage KAIZEN principles, concepts, and activities
• Encourage GEAR activities from staff to meet corporate goals
• Submits training needs to HR as determined from departmental needs and employee evaluations
• Ensure that all personnel are working in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform other duties as required (i.e., special projects)

Must Haves:

• CPA (or within 2 years of completion of a CPA designation)
• 3-4 years’ accounting experience (minimum 2 in a project-driven environment)
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to direct costing in an MRP environment
• Computer literacy and excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
• Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment, above-average written and oral communication skills
