Senior Financial Analyst

Our client in healthcare delivering integrated services across long-term care and community programs seeks a strategic finance professional. This role combines high-level financial oversight with operational analysis, supporting leadership decision-making through budget management, forecasting, risk assessment, and performance reporting aligned with evolving care delivery models.
What will you be doing?
- Monitor and report on organizational fiscal performance, evaluating resource utilization and key indicators
- Recommend corrective actions when financial variances or risks emerge
- Lead annual budgeting processes collaborating with department leaders across staffing, operations, and facilities
- Prepare multi-year plans, forecasts, and presentation materials for leadership and governance committees
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, identifying cost drivers and improvement opportunities
- Develop complex financial models including sensitivity and scenario analyses
- Present monthly and quarterly financial reports with KPIs and action plans to senior leadership
- Provide operational performance analysis covering expenses, cash flow, and financial indicators
- Identify revenue enhancement strategies and draft proposals for new funding initiatives
- Partner with teams to evaluate strategic initiatives and assess financial implications of new programs
- Design and monitor cost-control measures supporting sustainable service delivery
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while supporting emerging opportunities
- Ensure compliance with funding agreements and prepare documentation for audits
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including auditors and financial institutions
- Direct year-end audit processes and financial statement preparation
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 7+ years progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial modeling
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling and analytics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience
- CPA designation or actively pursuing
- Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Adaptive, Microsoft Dynamics/Business 365, or PeopleSoft
