We are working with an exciting client who is a leading designer of sports facilities. They are in search for a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator requiring the ability to streamline operations by facilitating seamless communication among teams and vendors, and optimize resource management for efficient project execution.

What will you be doing?

• Analyze and revise all essential documentation concerning projects, shipments, inventories, and other pertinent logistical details
• Draft Purchase Orders, manage inventory lists, and initiate orders for materials/supplies
• Implement Builder Trend and Copper software for administration
• Oversee logistic budgets by consistently assessing expenditures and introducing cost-reduction measures while still upholding service quality
• Generate reports comparing forecasted and actual costs
• Identify optimal freight rates tailored to project requirements
• Serve as the main point of contact among departments, vendors, and various stakeholders
• Notify all relevant parties promptly of any product availability delays while also keeping Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable informed of changes
• Develop and revise schedules for shipments and other logistical requirements
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Regularly examine and assess existing purchasing and logistical processes, identify inefficiencies or areas with potential for improvement

Must Haves:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Post-secondary education (focus on supply chain)
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven experience working and negotiating with vendors/stakeholders
• Able to stay organized and manage time to ensure deadlines are met
• Possesses robust analytical skills and demonstrates meticulous attention to detail when analyzing documentation, scheduling, and inventory
