Who are we looking for?

We are in search for dedicated PSWs to work at either Long-Term Care or Retirement Residences. This is for recognized clients of ours who provide rewarding experience and employment opportunities.

Location: Cannington, ON

Shifts: Days/Afternoons/Nights (8-12 hours)

Compensation: $40-$50/hour (depending on experience)

What will you be doing?

• Daily health check of all clients/residents and record any illnesses
• Provide bedside and personal care to those in need
• Assist residents physically move, bathe, keep good oral hygiene, toileting, etc.
• Maintain daily healthcare records and other necessary reports
• Assist with the administration of medications or reminders while adhering to government policies
• Assist with housekeeping work (i.e. laundry and making-up beds)
• Report any notable behavioural and clinical changes to an RN or Manager
• Perform the “sitter” duties when needed and keep the surroundings neat and clean

Must Haves:

• College Diploma/PSW Certificate
• 1+ years working experience in a similar role
• Experience working in a nursing home is considered n asset
• Comfortable working with COVID-19 patients
• Positive working attitude and innate desire to help people
• Flexible – able to pick-up various shifts
• Sharp with good problem-solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong listening skills to best asses and act on situations
• Team player/leader – work with different departments while assisting different patients/residents
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail with a sense of urgency
