Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
Our client, one of the leading organizations in the SaaS industry, is rapidly growing. C-level management is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Manager who will be responsible for leading their Payroll and Benefits team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing and benefits administration in Canada, US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
What will you be doing?
- Overseeing payroll and benefits administration for 700+ employees
- Coordinate with leadership, external agencies, and vendors to ensure accurate completion of payroll procedures and policies
- Lead the integration and implementation of relevant payroll and benefit platforms
- Take leadership in the negotiation and renewal process for benefit programs
- Process improvement and finding ways to automate tasks to increase efficiency
- Support finance team with preparation of payroll and benefits journal entries
- Ensure all payroll-related accounting principles, policies, procedures, and legislated requirements are fulfilled
- Analyze payroll summaries for completion and accuracy
- Have an understanding of safety policies and regulations to ensure all activities are performed in a safe manner
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience processing Canadian and US payroll and benefits
- CPP, CPM, or similar designation
- Experience working with Ceridian is a must
- Experience with implementation and integration of new payroll systems
- Strong MS Excel Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still being organized and managing time effectively
