Intake Coordinator

Toronto, ON Temporary January 30, 2024 Compensation: $20/hour
Career Description:

Our client is a non-profit organization that provides support to seniors in the west GTA regions. They are seeking a Full-Time Intake Coordinator to work out of their Head Office and support administrative and intake responsibilities on a rotational basis.

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct all day-to-day administration, including data management, responding to phone calls and emails, receiving any walk-ins, filing, and mail distribution
  • Prepare and audit client files
  • Receive intake calls, provide agency information and begin file start up process
  • Ensure accuracy and detail in all work
  • Conduct data entry while creating new client files by entering demographic information
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including reporting any unsafe practices and contributing to recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare intake statistics for client referrals and client portals

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a busy environment
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Social Services/Gerontology, Medical Office Administration, or similar
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal, de-escalation, and organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable to complete a Police Reference Check as a condition of employment

  • Direct intake experience from healthcare environments
