Position: Full Stack Software Engineer

Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

Our client, one of the leading organizations in the SaaS industry, is rapidly growing. Their management is in search of a sharp Full Stack Software Engineer who will be responsible for the development of applications using JavaScript, PHP/Python, PostgreSQL, Angular, HTML, and CSS.

What will you be doing?

• Work with agile/scrum development methodologies in order to build scalable web applications
• Work within a DevOps Team
• Experience implementing JavaScript
• Write unit tests and have a strong understanding of GIT workflows, web services, 3 rd party API integrations & payment gateways
• Write quality code that is rooted in clean coding principles (SOLID, DRY) that also enables components to be reused
• You will be the point of contact for client issues and able to find solutions in a timely manner
• Work alongside other developers and testers to build high-quality web products and also provide suggestions by performing code reviews
• Coordinate with project managers to gain a deeper understanding of project scope and timelines to ensure projects are completed by the deadline
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage priorities to ensure projects meet deadlines
• Provide mentorship to other team members
• Able to work weekends and on-call when needed

Must Haves:

• 4+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of experience implementing JavaScript
• Post secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, or any other technical field
• Experience with PHP/Python, PostgreSQL, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS
• Strong critical thing and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various situations
