Position: Financial Controller

Location: Hybrid (North York, ON)

Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Overview:

Our client is a SaaS organization looking to bring an experienced Controller onto their rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be driven, have strong technical accounting aptitude, enthusiastic about contributing to a small and growing team, and will have excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities.

What you’ll be doing?

• Manage the daily financial operations including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Prepare and gather information for reports and audits
• Support the Bookkeeper in Month/Year End procedures
• Support the documentation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
• Support the CEO, COO, and CFO as required
• Work alongside other members of the finance team to ensure all tasks are completed
• Other duties as required

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience supporting a finance department
• Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
• Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, Plooto, Hubspot, etc.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping
• Interest and enthusiasm in taking on an ad hoc approach to the day to day work, and aiding in completing in any finance tasks as needed
• Experience in a start-up environment is a strong asset
• Experience in a SaaS environment is a strong asset
• CPA designation an asset
