Finance Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected healthcare facility located in the Belleville-Peterborough area for a Finance Manager. This is a permanent, full-time leadership role overseeing the Finance and Payroll departments. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Services & CFO, this position plays a critical part in financial strategy, team development, compliance, and supporting broader organizational goals in a patient-centered environment.
What will you be doing?
- Lead day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, forecasting, and internal controls
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures in compliance with public sector regulations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis to support executive decision-making
- Manage audits, external reporting, and financial planning processes
- Mentor and guide a small team while contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven culture
Must Haves:
- CPA designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/MHA preferred)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance leadership role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systems (e.g., EPIC, UKG)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Nice-To Haves:
- Experience in a healthcare or broader public sector setting
- Knowledge of unionized work environments and scheduling/payroll systems
- Strong grasp of policy development, financial forecasting, and quality improvement initiatives
