A growing home services organization delivering heating, cooling, water, and plumbing solutions across North America seeks a strategic IT leader to drive technology initiatives across US operations. This role focuses on system harmonization, vendor optimization, cybersecurity excellence, and infrastructure management while partnering with business stakeholders and corporate IT to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

What will you be doing?

• Lead technical harmonization of application systems and interfaces across US business units ensuring consistency and scalability
• Partner with primary system provider to deploy custom functionality across all US operations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders ensuring technical changes align with operational requirements
• Evaluate and renegotiate vendor contracts maximizing value and establishing performance governance frameworks
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies guided by corporate standards
• Monitor threat landscapes and execute proactive risk mitigation strategies
• Educate users on security awareness and risk identification
• Identify IT cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and performance
• Implement process improvements and automation enhancing operational efficiency
• Ensure high-quality IT support services including help desk operations and training through external providers
• Foster culture of responsiveness and continuous user satisfaction improvement
• Maintain and upgrade core IT infrastructure including networks, devices, servers, and cloud environments
• Ensure system reliability, uptime, and scalability supporting business growth

Must Haves

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or similar field
• 10+ years progressive IT leadership experience including 3+ years at director level
• Proven track record in project planning and execution across complex business environments
• Experience running cross-functional technical programs with multiple stakeholders
• Strong background in service industry including resource optimization and field service operations
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills driving alignment and collaborative decision-making
• Familiarity with hybrid/multi-cloud strategies and SaaS models
• Ability to manage service providers handling day-to-day IT activities
• Demonstrated ability improving service levels with KPI development and performance dashboards
• Financial literacy including budgeting, cost tracking, optimization, and ROI analysis
• Experience with network technologies
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2)
• IT-business alignment ability translating business goals into IT strategy
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• High sense of urgency with keen customer focus
• Comfortable working 5-days a week on-site
