Business Coordinator

Career Description:

Our client is an established Long Term Care home in Toronto. They are seeking an experienced Business Coordinator to help support day-to-day scheduling, operations and accounting functions (i.e. accounts payables, receivables and payroll). The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including recording transactions, maintaining vendor files, reconciling vendor accounts and statements, and assisting with the annual audit
  • Import and manage data in Sage
  • Verify and record employee expense records
  • Work alongside administrative team to support coverage and nursing schedules
  • Maintain employee Benefits Program and WSIB payroll calculations
  • Oversee payroll functions including calculating salaries, wages, and deductions using ADP
  • Verify attendance records, timesheets, and answer any staff inquiries
  • Ensure policies are updated to maintain compliance with legislation
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as required

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar/accounting role
  • Experience with Sage and ADP is a strong asset
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment

  • Healthcare industry experience
