We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team and ensure accurate financial records while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role involves analyzing financial documents, managing payroll, and overseeing key accounting functions.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing and recording financial entries using QuickBooks
• Monitoring inventory levels and cost of goods sold (COGS) monthly
• Producing monthly inventory control reports
• Reconciling subsidiary accounts and bank transactions
• Overseeing accounts payable/receivable and assisting with monthly financial statement preparation
• Maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements
• Ensuring confidentiality of financial information
• Handling GST/HST, WSIB, and EHT reporting
• Organizing the filing system and managing special projects as required

Must-haves

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables
• Attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and accuracy
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant, with exposure to general ledger and month-end/year-end processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience in manufacturing
• 1-2 years of experience with inventory systems and QuickBooks Online
• CPA designation or progress towards it
• ERP implementation experience
