<p>We are currently hiring a caring and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. In this permanent role, the PSW will support residents with daily living activities, helping to ensure safety, dignity, and enhanced quality of life. The ideal candidate has a passion for seniors’ care and at least 1 year of hands-on experience in a healthcare or LTC environment.</p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting</li>
<li>Support mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment</li>
<li>Provide companionship, emotional support, and help promote resident independence</li>
<li>Assist with meal service and feeding as needed</li>
<li>Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation</li>
<li>Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality protocols</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive resident experience</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Job Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>PSW certificate from a recognized Ontario college or program (NACC or equivalent)</li>
<li>Minimum 1 year of experience working in long-term care or senior living</li>
<li>Knowledge of senior care practices, safety standards, and resident rights</li>
<li>Compassionate, patient, and respectful with strong communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work well in a team and follow care plans and routines</li>
<li>Must provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Check</li>
<li>Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 per public health guidelines</li>

Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède une expérience pratique d’au moins 1 an dans le domaine de la santé ou des soins aux personnes âgées.</p>
<p><strong>Responsabilités principales:</strong></p>

<li>Aider les résidents dans les soins d’hygiène personnelle, l’habillement, la toilette et le bain</li>
<li>Assurer les déplacements et les transferts sécuritaires à l’aide de techniques et d’équipements appropriés</li>
<li>Offrir du soutien émotionnel, de la compagnie et favoriser l’autonomie des résidents</li>
<li>Aider au service et à l’assistance lors des repas</li>
<li>Observer et signaler tout changement dans l’état de santé ou le comportement des résidents au personnel infirmier</li>
<li>Documenter avec précision les soins prodigués</li>
<li>Respecter les protocoles de prévention des infections, de sécurité et de confidentialité</li>
<li>Participer aux réunions d’équipe et contribuer à un environnement respectueux et positif</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications requises:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Certificat de PSSP délivré par un collège ou un programme reconnu en Ontario (NACC ou équivalent)</li>
<li>Minimum de 1 an d’expérience en soins de longue durée ou dans un milieu de soins similaires</li>
<li>Bonne connaissance des pratiques en soins aux aînés, des normes de sécurité et des droits des résidents</li>
<li>Excellentes aptitudes en communication et approche centrée sur le résident</li>
<li>Capacité à travailler en équipe et à suivre les plans de soins personnalisés</li>
<li>Vérification récente du casier judiciaire pour secteur vulnérable requise</li>
<li>Vaccination complète contre la COVID-19, conformément aux directives de santé publique</li>

<p><strong>What will you be doing?</strong></p>

<li data-start="778" data-end="910">Provide emergency nursing care in a <strong data-start="814" data-end="846">15-room Emergency Department</strong>, including <strong data-start="858" data-end="876">2 trauma rooms</strong> and <strong data-start="881" data-end="910">3 rapid assessment chairs</strong></li>
<li data-start="913" data-end="980">Maintain a patient load of approximately <strong data-start="954" data-end="980">3–4 patients per nurse</strong></li>
<li data-start="983" data-end="1141">Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians available 24/7, as well as onsite and on-call radiology, lab, and respiratory therapy services</li>
<li data-start="1144" data-end="1216">Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in urgent and emergent situations</li>
<li data-start="1219" data-end="1293">Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality patient outcomes</li>

<p><strong>Must Haves:</strong></p>
